Netflix Selects Spot-On Performer for Bentham in One Piece Third Season

The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.

Netflix announced this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will embody Mr. 2. The role can use their power to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their main hand. Escola, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a interpretation of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the original manga and animated series.

Escola is joined by multiple fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as another operative, and a familiar face, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of Alabasta.

Even though this character is a key figure of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the character. Besides their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated roles.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
