Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
