Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who breached a barricade and grabbed the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video reveals the Australian man bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Record of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram account includes clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Several followers criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented a further response on Instagram.

A number of supporters also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals called for digital services to remove Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of Singapore attendees had waited to greet the cast of Wicked

Many of attendees had gathered in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be premiered on November 21, is the second of a dual version of the acclaimed stage production Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected friendship between two distinct characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of 2024 in the UK, and earned ten Academy Award nods, securing several for best costume and production design.
